All-Church Labor Day Picnic

Join us at Seven Lakes State Park from 1:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 5 for our annual all-church picnic. Families are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own beverages. Dinner will be at 5:00 PM, hot dogs and tableware will be provided.

Admission to the park is $6 per car for a daily pass, or free if you already have an annual pass. Maps and a sign-up sheet are at the Welcome Center. Invite another family to join you at the picnic!

Women’s Ministry: Fall Bible Study

Announcing our fall Women’s Bible study — Anointed, Transformed, Redeemed, by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer and Kay Arthur. The study will be offered at two different times:

• On Wednesday evenings starting Sept. 8 at 6:45 pm in Room 301
• On Tuesday mornings starting Sept. 14 from 9:30 – 11:30 am in Room 301

If you are interested in being part of this great study, please sign up at the Welcome Center. The book costs $15.00. Child care is provided.

Worship Choir is back!

If you are a church member age 16 and up, and can sing on pitch, we need you in our Worship Choir! Rehearsals will take place Sundays at 5:00 pm, and begin Sept. 19. A special “Kick-Off Party” will be at the home of Rick and Sue Belt on Friday night, Sept. 10 at 6:00 pm for both current and new singers and their spouses. Handbell Choir

Do you enjoy listening to our Handbell Choir? Well, we could use three to four new players. Although the ability to read music is helpful, it is not necessary. Each player is usually responsible for only two or three handbells. If you think you would like to be a part of this ministry, please contact Pastor Larry or Gary Vandemark.

Rejoicers

Our Rejoicers ministry will begin on Thursday, Sept. 16 with a meeting and potluck lunch. All retirees regardless of age are invited to Rejoicers. We meet each Thursday, September through December. Each meeting starts with a program and concludes with lunch. Activities away from the church are also scheduled throughout the year. Come join us on Sept. 16!
